　　Position Summary

　　The Computer Aided Design, Modeling, & Technical Communications position focuses on the documentation, illustration, and digital modeling of engineering designs and processes. A Senior Professional position applies advanced knowledge of a job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

　　Responsibilities

　　Responsibilities:

　　Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision.

　　Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.

　　Supports continuous improvement/automation activities.

　　Assesses engineering requirements and translates into technical manuals, drawings, layouts, and simulation models using CAD software or applying standard CAD techniques to digitize, edit, and revise engineering drawings of components, parts, and assemblies.

　　Customizes Technical Communication software to document engineering complex or unusual designs.

　　Creates and updates maintenance and operational technical manuals.

　　Creates digital proto-types and conducts design simulations for purposes of verifying reliability/safety and optimizing engineering processes.

　　Collaborates with product/manufacturing process engineers by documenting changes to technical communication manuals (maintenance/operation).

　　May provide materials lists and cost estimates.

　　Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

　　Other duties as assigned.

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
