  What you will doSupport the enterprise-wide compliance and privacy programs at CHOP's hospital campuses, physician practices, primary and specialty care practices, the Research Institute, and Foundation operations.Manage operation of the enterprise "Safe to Say" compliance hotline including, but not limited to, triaging hotline reports and identifying issues; coordinating with other stakeholders throughout the institution; providing guidance and input to investigating offices; reviewing completed investigation reports; documenting final resolutions; and providing data analysis and reporting.Triage and respond to compliance and privacy inquiries from workforce member and patient families.Collaborate with Information Security, Health Information Management, the Research Institute, Office of General Counsel and other clinical and administrative business units to respond to compliance and privacy matters.Lead or participate in compliance and privacy incident investigations including documentation of required assessments and notification to patient families and regulatory agencies.Support the enterprise-wide proactive privacy audit and monitoring program, including collaborating with and supporting business leaders and Human Resources through the investigation and sanctions process to ensure corrective/disciplinary action is applied in accordance with Hospital policy and relevant laws/regulations.Assist with monitoring/tracking of corrective action plans as needed.Participate in planning, developing, and conducting education and training on compliance and privacy matters, in diverse formats and for various audiences.Support the creation and revision of compliance and privacy policies, job aids, and other documents such as Notice of Privacy Practices and department standard operating procedures.Support enterprise-wide COI program including, but not limited to, reviewing COI disclosures and drafting and monitoring COI management plans.Other responsibilities may include:Maintain and update the OCP @CHOP internal website and related resources and documents.Support development and revision of annual General Compliance, COI, and Privacy work plans.Support operating departments to develop and maintain departmental compliance plans.Support Office of Compliance and Privacy leadership on other duties as assigned.Support compliance-related committees and special projects as needed.

  EducationBachelor's Degree RequiredDoctorate Juris Doctorate (JD) in Paralegal Studies Preferred

  ExperienceAt least seven (7) years of work experience in a professional capacity, with increasing levels of responsibility RequiredAt least ten (10) years Prior experience in a compliance or healthcare related office Preferred

  Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesHigh proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting. (Required proficiency)Exce lent attention to detail in performing work and maintaining documentation of investigations and guidance provided. (Required proficiency)Ability to manage and prioritize high volume workload and exercise appropriate professionalism and judgment. (Required proficiency)Excellent ability to communicate thoughts and ideas clearly in both verbal and written formats including ability to create high quality written work product and to work with new or existing presentations to create effective and relevant presentations on compliance and privacy matters. (Required proficiency)Ability to handle information and business affairs with confidentiality. (Required proficiency)Eagerness to learn new areas and develop additional skills and expertise. (Required proficiency)Highly motivated to contribute and grow in a complex area of importance. (Required proficiency)Knowledge and experience with state and international compliance and privacy laws.
