Claim Edit Management

Monitors claim edit work queues
Reviews claim denials and rejections based on coding issues
Responds to questions from hospital billing staff regarding coding issues
Reviews and reconciles NCCI edits and other claim edit errors
Trends edit types and communicates findings to the Outpatient Coding Supervisor
Coding Completion

Assists with maintaining coding within 4 days of discharge on Emergency Department and Simple Visit Coding accounts within EPIC
Accurately assigns ICD-10-CM codes to principal and secondary diagnoses
Accurately assigns CPT codes to principal and secondary procedures
Charge Posting
25%
Assists with maintaining charges within 4 days of discharge on Observation and Hem-Onc clinic accounts
Accurately posts Observation hourly charges, ED procedure charges, and infusion and injection administration charges
Additional Support

Communicates instances of noncompliant documentation to Outpatient Coding Supervisor
Maintains weekly Top 30 uncoded Revenue Cycle Report
Contributes to workflow improvement efforts
Collaborates with Outpatient Coding Supervisor on internal coding education topics
