AWS is looking for experienced Consultants to accelerate our growing Professional Services business. Come be a part of our Professional Services Federal Practice team!

  AWS Professional Services engages in a wide variety of cloud migration and cloud adoption projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base. We’re obsessed about delivering strong success for our customers. We collaborate across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams to deliver the right solution and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.

  As a Cloud Networking Consultant within ProServe, you will provide thought leadership and exceptional technical design capabilities to our customers. Your responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement and ultimate successful production deployment of specific projects; defining implementation architectures, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies; and being a subject-matter expert in networking solution areas.

  This is a client facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations when needed (up to 50%).

  This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active security clearance.

  Key job responsibilities

  Design, implement and consult with enterprise-scale networks.

  Network virtualization and/or software defined networks.

  Network deployment, migration, and/or operations.

  Engage conversations on network architecture with large AWS customers.

  Align with product and service teams to shape network features needed by our customers

  Manage disparate senior stakeholders within customer environments to deliver consensus and drive outcomes on the AWS platform.

  Work with customers to resolve complex networking concerns and problems and achieve security, resilience, and compliance outcomes are on the AWS platform through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations/recommendations, and hands on demonstrations in the AWS environment.

  Develop industry-leading network related, customer-facing resources based on projected customer needs and current demand.

  Stay connected with industry trends and events primarily in the USA, but also throughout the world as it relates to industry regulations and requirements.

  Develop and maintain personal relationships with key industry personnel and policymakers.

  Keep the AWS Global Accounts leadership team fully informed of customer engagement status, issues, and activities.

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience

  7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience

  3+ years of cloud and on-premise integration experience

  5+ years of experience in network deployment, migration, and/or operations with experience with layer 2 technologies, including MPLS and Ethernet and in computer network security.

  Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or above

  Preferred Qualifications

  Working knowledge of industry networking appliances (i.e., Palo Alto, F5 etc.). With experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware and storage.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
