Currently accepting applications for a part-time position of Senior Center Cook without benefits working 25 hours a week (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Position will perform meal preparation, serve Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals, keep kitchen area, utensils, and equipment clean and workable, help with the menu as needed, and other duties as assigned under the direction of the Senior Center Director.
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Food Handlers Permit. Knowledge of kitchen appliances and utensils, Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) requirements and proper serving sizes, convection and gas ovens, cleaning appliances and walk-in freezers, safety in the kitchen, and diets and medications of the elderly.
