SENIOR BUYER
Location: Prague
Contract: full time, permanent contract
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for regional activities related to Global Strategic Insights category and sourcing across various demand-based activities. The person will collaborate with the assigned x-category buyers across the region to ensure compliance. The person is responsible for agile project management, business planning and savings delivery, compliance, turnaround times, payment channel compliance, supplier optimization and improvement of digital content of suppliers with reoccuring spend. Further requirements are on providing procurement support, managing sourcing events and documentation and supplier invites, evaluation of results, and awarding suppliers. Maintaining supplier relationships by resolving low to medium disputes, negotiating pricing and commercial terms, and performing key stakeholder activities. Interface with suppliers and the organization on contract creation, review and approval, finalization, and further contract amendments to price and scope. Engagement with cross-functional stakeholders to address concerns, provide process updates, and conduct change management activities.
The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
Manage supplier communications, including sourcing event invitations, issue resolution, pricing terms negotiations, and contracting
Assess change needs, impacts, and stakeholder management activities and support change management integration activities
Manage the purchase order process, including selecting suppliers and verifying budget alignment
Lead and inspire a team of sourcing associates
Perform supplier negotiations
Perform data analytics, forecast demand, and identify baseline for purchasing that meet prioritized business requirement. Understand your data
Prioritize and validate potential strategic options, determine the benefits cases for these options, and measure the performance against established KPI benchmarks
Execute sourcing events, evaluate results, communicate with suppliers on quotes, interface with contracting, and enable updates in ERP systems
Receive, analyze, and resolve supplier inquiries, disputes, and payment discrepancies
Perform one-off exception purchases, negotiate final pricing terms, and select suppliers based on singular demand
Qualifications
We’d love to hear from YOU, if you have:
A Bachelor’s Degree; a minor in Project Management, Business, Operations, Economics, Procurement or related field is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of direct category / business experience
Strong agile project management experience
Strong analytical skills
Some experience in indirect procurement / sourcing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with focus on Excel and analytics.
Very good communication skills and ability to interact with multiple teams and levels across the Organization.
Working knowledge of Procurement systems (ERP/SAP, Ariba, etc.) is required.
Proficiency in English, another language is an advantage.
