About Senior Business Analyst - Information Technology

  POSITION SUMMARY:To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Service and Stewardship by providing solution driven services that consistently exceed our customers’ expectations and support the corporate objectives of Health First. The IT Services Senior Business Analyst works directly with the business owner to elicit the needs of the business and stakeholders across the requirements lifecycle. The Sr. Business Solution Analyst should possess analytical thinking and problem solving skills, business knowledge and communication skills. This associate is typically responsible for more complex and broader projects that spans the IDN and has the technical as well as resource knowledge to deliver the solution. All other duties as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned to meet departmental and/or organizational business needs.Quality/No Harm: * Understands all aspects of business requirements and their relationship to application requirements by determining the appropriate level of artifacts that are required for the work effort. * Works closely with the business to specify requirements and translate them to well-designed software solutions. * Ability to translate business needs to a technical requirement. * Broad knowledge and experience of computer science and/or information technology fields. * Coordinates and analyzes the testing methods and assures that the testing methods can be traced to business requirements. * Participate in process development and business analysis program development. * Demonstrate capability in multiple analysis methodologies. * Collaborates with Project Management Office as well as Contract Supply Chain in their processes.Stewardship: * Balance of stakeholders needs with hardware & software capabilities that align with the organizations goals and objectives. * Demonstrates proficiency in the concepts of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). * Ability to navigate across the IT organization (networking, security, interfaces, etc.) to identify non-functional requirements that would not be clear to the business. * Ability to prioritize tasks, perform them efficiently, and manage time effectively. * Mentor other analysts assisting these associates with more complex issues or projects. * Utilize resources wisely, handling routine and intermediate issues without management intervention. * Exhibits strong leadership qualities in all business relationships. * Manage multiple projects across diverse business functions.Customer Experience: * Ensures key stakeholders understand and agree to the business analysis approach. * The ability to analyze, conceptualize, and communicate a holistic view of people, processes and technologies of the organization. * Facilitate elicitation activities in a manner that allows the business to make decisions. * Provides accurate, thorough, and concise information in a logical manner which is understood by the stakeholder(s). * Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical associates, leaders and executives. * Leads stakeholders to quality and effective outcomes using a solution driven mind-set. * Ability to navigate the nuances of the business. * Influence stakeholders to consider the broader business objectives.

  QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and 3 years’ experience in Healthcare Information Technology or business analysis.In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Healthcare Information Technology or business analysis is required.Ability to work professionally and effectively with team members, vendors and the user community.Expertise in business and systems analysis and design in a technical environment.CCBA or CBAP is desired, but not required.Knowledge of project management practices.Expertise of BABOK best practices required.Ability to work and maintain composure in an often stressful environment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines and resolve problems.Must be able to travel to multiple facilities across the organization.MENTAL DEMANDS:

  Ability to handle extremely stressful and dynamic work situations while contributing to a team environment.Must exhibit superior analytical and problem solving abilities.Ability to satisfy user needs based upon understanding of equipment and concepts from the user’s perspective.Ability to pursue multiple concurrent tasks in an autonomous work environment.Ability to respond appropriately to complex problems.Ability to assess, interpret data, and resolve computer application and system problems.Job: *Analyst
