We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic team for an infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia. A BIM coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process for construction projects. One of the key ingredients of this role is to ensure that all project stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date BIM models and data throughout the project lifecycle.
Jacobs is construction supervision consultant for a multi-billion development mixed-use historic, culture and lifestyle destination. The project will be the Kingdom’s historic and cultural heart, proudly showcasing to the world Saudi Arabia’s 300 years of history through an engaging and inspiring set of heritage, hospitality, education, retail and dining experiences for residents and visitors. It aims to be developed as an urban, mixed-use development inspired by the principles of both new urbanisms ensuring its main anchors rooted in its historic culture and heritage. Ultimately, the destination will include museums, galleries, restaurants, retail experiences, public squares, hotels, multiple recreational spaces, residences, educational institutions and offices.
Responsibilities:
Design & Coordination:
Collaborating with project teams to develop BIM execution plans and standards.
Managing and coordinating the creation, modification, and distribution of BIM models and data.
Conducting regular quality control checks on BIM models and data to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Assisting project teams in clash detection and resolution by identifying and resolving conflicts in BIM models.
Facilitating collaboration and communication between different project stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.
Training and supporting project team members in the effective use of BIM software and tools.
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in BIM technology and best practices.
Assisting in the development and implementation of BIM-related workflows and processes.
Assisting in the preparation and coordination of BIM-related documentation, such as BIM project execution plans, BIM standards, and model delivery requirements.
Participating in project meetings and providing BIM-related updates and recommendations to project teams.
Data Management:
Manage and organize files, ensuring proper version control and file naming conventions.
Create and maintain a comprehensive database of drawings and design files.
Quality Assurance:
Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards.
Revise and modify drawings as required based on feedback from project team members.
Documentation:
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including record drawings and as-built documentation.
Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations as needed.
Here’s what you’ll need :
Qualifications -
Recent previous experience (within last 5 years) in a BIM role for major infrastructure projects that are complex in nature and are ideally located in the Saudi region.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or a BIM Specialist in civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Familiarity with infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia is a plus.
