　　In search of experienced Backend Developers to work on an exciting cross-sector initiative aimed to accelerate the process of scaling and bringing to production AI-powered apps. As a Backend Developer on the Gen AI Server Generation team, you will add functionality to an app building studio which contains a variety of modules (database/model/storage catalogs, data federation, pipeline orchestration, etc.). 　　The GPS AI & Data Engineering offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

　　Qualifications

　　Required:

　　• Bachelor's degree required

　　• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

　　• Active Secret or Top Secret US Security clearance required for this role

　　• Travel up to 10%

　　• 5+ years of development experience with Java

　　• 3+ years experience with Python - focus on huggingface text-generation or fastchat

　　• 3+ years experience with database querying and database management systems

　　• 3+ years hands-on experience with JDBC and relational database design

　　Preferred:

　　• Excellent problem-solving/analytical skills and ability to break down large complex concepts

　　• Creativity and innovation - desire to learn and apply new technologies, products, and libraries.

　　• Strong knowledge of best practices - willingness to review code and provide feedback to other engineers

　　• Collaboration with front-end (React) development team to deliver new end-to-end features

　　• Experience implementing wireframes with flexible, well-structured code

　　• Willingness to collaborate with distributed teams

　　• Comfortable with code versioning tools such as Git
