  Boeing is seeking two Senior AvionX Product Support Test Engineers to support our teams in Smithfield, PA and Plano, TX. We are hiring one person for each location.

  This position will work directly with AvionX manufacturing team and Product Support team to provide technical test support in setting up test equipment, defining test procedures and executing testing and troubleshooting of any AvionX designed and manufactured electronic units.

  Position Responsibilities:

  Works with the existing Maintenance Repair & Operations team to execute required testing and analysis for any returned/failed units

  Maintains, collects and provides required analysis, status report and metrics on failures to support root cause identification and corrective actions

  Validates designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis

  Manages, creates, develops and maintains complex systems designs by analyzing existing design layouts, modifying existing designs and developing robust engineering analysis of issues.

  Validates complex engineering system design and functionality Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance activities and provides specific test approaches to address root cause and corrective action items on identified failures

  Supports the Product Support team and Manufacturing in coordinating with Supplier Management to ensure part failures are properly documented, investigated, and communicated

  Provides engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product

  Performs root cause and corrective action on identified failures to address product line needs and resolve critical items to support product development and deliveries

  Maintains disciplined revision control of all engineering documentation program baselines

  Leads the root case/corrective action activities for all in service issues. Reviews product definition, design, configuration data and works with product development teams to identify root cause and determine corrective action for issues

  Manages, plans, researches, develops, analyzes, and designs modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements. Leads planning and design criteria identification to develop innovative, integrated support and maintenance infrastructure

  Performs analysis and planning efforts for the program to determine impacts, constraints and plans involving product development, production rates, process improvement, or program initiatives

  Develops and posts planning, scheduling and change related metrics/reports/status as needed

  This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

  This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

  Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  Bachelor’s degree or higher

  5+ years of experience with fielded electronic products

  5+ years of experience in project or program management

  Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  Experience with cross organizational project managementTypical Education/Experience:

  Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).

  Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  Summary pay range: $75,650 - $131,100

  Export Control Requirements: U.S. Government Export Control Status: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.

  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
