We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Aviation Engineering Professional to grow as part of our specialized aviation team.
Based out of our San Antonio office, you will have the opportunity to work on wide variety of military and civilian aviation projects from planning through engineering, into construction, commissioning, and operation. You’ll work with a team dedicated to providing technical excellence and value to our aviation clients as we work to support their missions and needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in planning-level aviation assignments as an aviation subject matter expert
Direct and perform civil engineering design including computer modeling, calculations, detailing, specification and plan set production for airfield projects
Coordinate and collaborate with other aviation design professionals and other engineering and architectural disciplines as part of a cohesive design team
Perform bid-phase and construction-phase services such as answering requests for information, issuing design clarifications, reviewing shop drawings, and submittals.
Perform resident engineering services to include construction quality, acceptance testing and construction management activities including participation in pavement test sections, etc.
Attend and facilitate design team and client meetings. Significant interaction with partners and clients is anticipated.
Participate in industry-level research projects and outreach efforts.
Here’s what you’ll need :
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer (any state or territory)
Previous experience utilizing computer-aided engineering design software as well as typical production software such as Word, Excel, Project, etc.
At least 10 years of experience working on civil engineering projects with special emphasis on aviation projects
Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time
Self-starting capabilities
Military or civilian aviation engineering experience and expertise is preferred
