Job DescriptionTroubleshoot electro-mechanical issues and repair pneumatic valves, motors and gearboxes, and electrical and mechanical controls of the production equipmentEdit PLC programs as needed to accommodate for changes to equipment and productsEdit touch-screen HMIs as necessary to accommodate for changes to equipment and productsTroubleshoot and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, Allen Bradley Controllogix and Compactlogix PLC platform utilizing RSLogix 5000 software package. Includes Industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems3-phase MotorsAllen Bradley PLC's and DrivesAC/DC Drive Frequency ControllersElectrical, Pneumatic, and Mechanical SchematicsSupport and manage all control components within a PLC systemGenerate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management systemUnder limited supervision, analyze, troubleshoot, install and repair electrical and mechanical systems on industrial manufacturing equipmentWork with production and maintenance to troubleshoot and improve existing electrical and control systemsIncludes programming and set-up various components such as VFDs, servo drives, bar code reading devices, vision systems and temperature control devices. Experience in integration of these components into systems with PLCs and HMIsExperience and knowledge of power distribution (480 VAC three phase) motor controls, 110VAC and 24 VDC Control systemsProvide front line issues investigation of live production control systems (hardware and software) including the use of relevant diagnostic tools such as Profibus, Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCsFamiliar with AC and DC drive configuration, PLC and HMI programming, and instrumentation devices such as thermocouples, motor tachometers, temperature controllers, and pressure transducersInstall, program, inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment, instrumentation devices, and related information systemsProficient in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, megger testers, and machine-specific instrumentation to ensure proper operation of equipmentAble to interpret common engineering drawings, specification documentation and equipment manualsComplete familiarity with the requirements of the NEC (National Electrical Codes) as they pertain to the facilityInstall electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation devices according to diagrams and schematicsPerform all prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment and/or electrical systems
