　　We are looking for Senior Associate, Solution Engineering who will work in partnership with other groups within Western Union, such as Sales, FIU, GMI, GSI, and Fraud & Global Consumer Protection.

　　In this unique role, you will be working as a Senior Associate with a broad range of responsibilities including all aspects of Data like Governance, Management, Metadata Management, Security, Privacy and so on.

　　Role Responsibilities

　　You will design and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process.

　　Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while implementing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. Ensure that software functionality is implemented with a focus on code optimization and organization.

　　Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers.

　　Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development.

　　Design layered application, including user interface, business functionality, and database access.

　　Apply Agile methodology daily and follow Definition of Done (DoD) process for better quality by maintaining 90% and unit test coverage and 85% integration test coverage.

　　Develop technical & domain expertise and apply it to solving product challenges.

　　Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts.

　　Share engineering support and release.

　　Role Requirements

　　5+ years of software development experience, 3+ years of relevant experience in ETL, data warehouse, SQL, Big data.

　　Background in Cloud engineering (like GCP, AWS, Azure).

　　Strong experience in Talend.

　　Strong communication skills with ability to interact with partners globally.

　　Strong experience in Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) script development and tools (e.g., Talend, Matillion)

　　data warehouse schema design and dimensional data management (e.g., Star-Schema, Federated-Model, etc.) is good to have.

　　SQL (procedural and declarative) development (e.g., snowflake) is good to have

　　Programming language (e.g. Java, python) experience is good to have .

　　Knowledge of scripting is a plus. (e.g., shell scripting)

　　Knowledge of logical and physical database architectures, design concepts, object-oriented design, and techniques

　　Good to have experience/knowledge on big data technologies. (e.g. Spark)
