　　Responsibilities

　　Adapt to work on AI video effects and editing.

　　Stay up to date with AI technology, advise on how we can adapt and embrace new technologies and ideas.

　　Build AI/ML based differentiated features for the Clipchamp product. 

　　Provide hands-on technical work: design, analytics/modeling, dataset development, code reviews, development, quality assurance, observability, and a live site.

　　Uphold data engineering and data science best practices new methodologies, technologies, industry trends and open sources.  

　　Build relationships with partners within Microsoft Research Teams to bring innovation to new and existing products.   

　　Foster a culture of inclusivity and disciplined data and software engineering practices to deliver business value, guided by data.  

　　Provides feedback, drives improvement, and shares knowledge.

　　Qualifications

　　The ideal candidate would have: 

　　7+ years of professional or equivalent experience in ML on designing, developing, testing, and shipping software. 

　　Hands on experience with server side or on device models

　　Deep knowledge of creating video effects via AI and Machine Learning.

　　Bachelor in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines, MS/Ph.D./Research experience in the domain of computer vision/ Machine Learning (https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/sites/knowledgecenter/SitePages/Machine-Learning.aspx) is a plus 

　　Recent experience with relevant projects in Generative AI, Computer Vision and Video AI.

　　Fluency in Python preferred.  

　　Deep understanding of the concepts of image and computer vision, and experience with deep architectures for various computer vision tasks such as ViT, Swin, VAE, and Unet.

　　Knowledge of Diffusion pipelines for generative applications

　　Experience monitoring of production or AI training tasks

　　Other generative models such as VAE, prompt engineering, audio/video processing and multi modal learning

　　Experience in shipping high-quality products or services at-scale is a plus.  

　　Experience in compiling models or optimizing model latency/memory for production.

　　Experience in working with Cloud architecture such as Azure.

　　Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-group and across disciplines. 

　　Excellent skills in design, debugging and problem solving.  

　　Passion for customers, innovation, product quality, service excellence and test engineering.
