Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Senior Analyst to join our Development Finance team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Development, Feasibility, Asset Management, Accounting, and Legal teams, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role
The Senior Analyst will provide analytical support to various teams within Hyatt. This role partners with these teams to evaluate new hotel development projects, provide recommendations for existing hotels, and complete additional project analysis and ad-hoc reporting as necessary. This position will report to the Director, of Development Finance.
•Support the Development Group in evaluating potential new hotel development projects, focusing on valuation and analysis of proposed transactions.
•Review and summarize financial performance, contract specifics, and capital needs.
•Prepare financial analysis of single assets or portfolios in support of new brand development, repositioning, evaluation of new programs, and support of owner requirements.
•Assist with the enhancement and maintenance of Development Finance databases that provide reporting for pipeline and capital projections and metrics.
•Update valuation templates to increase modeling efficiency/accuracy and support complex deal structures.
•Assist with updating the valuation methodology, financial valuation models, developer valuation tools, and market ranking tools as needed.
•Support the monthly Development Committee process including review of analyses and memos.
•Enhance tools and models to assist Developers with efficient analysis that supports decision-making related to deal negotiations.
•Identify areas of opportunity for efficiencies and process improvement.
•Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
•2 to 4 years of experience with financial modeling/analysis or underwriting
•Strong Excel skills required (financial modeling, complex formulas, etc.)
Experience Preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Hospitality
•Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
•Ability to support and prioritize multiple projects, deliver results in a timely and professional manner, and communicate effectively with team members and Senior Leadership
•Experience in hospitality or knowledge of the hotel industry and valuation disciplines is desired
•Knowledge of hotel brands and market positioning, market drivers, operating and performance metrics is desired
