Job Description
SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, Business and Digital Transformation Office (BDTO), to report to the chief officer for business and digital transformation and perform a wide range of complex administrative and support duties in support of the BDTO. Will manage the complex calendars of the chief officer and his directors; serve as the first point of contact for and respond to inquiries on behalf of the chief officer; schedule and coordinate meetings on behalf of the chief officer and the BDTO team; perform general office management, reception, and event planning duties under minimal supervision; and assist with BDTO and/or Institute-wide programs and projects. Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years of administrative, office, or related experience; strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and written (including spelling, punctuation, and grammar) and verbal communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and ability to identify and learn new applications as necessary; discretion, tact, and good judgment with sensitive/confidential information; and a flexible approach to the workload and with regard to learning new tasks, taking on new assignments, and supporting team initiatives. Seek someone who welcomes a variety of work challenges and is able to proactively anticipate issues/complications related to scheduling, events, and logistics; manage multiple priorities and a high volume of work while meeting deadlines and without compromising quality in a demanding, fast-paced work environment; work both independently and as part of a team; and interact effectively with a wide range of individuals within and outside of the MIT community.
