Senior Accounting Associate- Close Consolidations

We are looking for a highly motivated professional that is interested in working in a collaborative fast paced financial services company to join our Close Consolidation team. This person will support our consolidation process and will be responsible for posting journal entries, performing control processes, and partnering with technology and upstream teams. This role will also have the exciting opportunity to work with the broader Controller’s organization to replace our current general ledger and consolidation tool with a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. We are looking for someone that can help us reimagine our existing close consolidation processes while still ensuring processes are performed in a well controlled manner and results are aligned with US GAAP and internal policy expectations.

Major Responsibilities:

Support the preparation of our consolidated financial statements, including intercompany loan agreements, foreign currency translations, and reconciliation processes.

Act as the central point of contact between accounting systems, technology, and line of business accounting teams to ensure month end processes are completed and systems are closed.

Post journal entries and prepare reconciliations and reporting deliverables, including internal cash eliminations, ADB eliminations and Reg W entries / deliverables.

Prepare Capital Rollforward, Statement of Cash Flows, analytical reviews, and validation processes.

Manage control processes for the Close Consolidation team and engage with audit and compliance groups when necessary.

Engage on enterprise initiative to replace Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.

Communicate with team and business partners on month end processes and special projects.

Support the consolidations team in recording acquisitions and divestitures.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors’ degree or military experience

At least 1 year of experience in accounting, audit, finance, or a combination

At least 1 year of financial and accounting reporting systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

Experience with PeopleSoft Financial System, Hyperion or Workday

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Smart View
