This role will be involved in transportation automation initiatives in your related geographies.The Senior Accountant is expected to continuously improve controllership and reduce manual efforts in support of improved efficiency of the 3P Transportation close process. The accountant is expected to work with finance to understand the key drivers for subsequent period accrual adjustments during month-end close. This role functions in multiple geographies as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) (i.e. Canada and United States) in support of process standardization and expansion of automation worldwide. This role is expected to identify and pursue desired training for building the automation process and share best practices. This complex role requires evaluating multi-carrier rebates. In this role, the accountant must work closely with the global transportation technology teams, FBI, and Finance to reinforce the Transportation Domain Review process, co-author accounting requirements documents, develop accounting use cases for user acceptance testing (UAT), and to support global project launches.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Arlington, VA, USA | Nashville, TN, USA | Seattle, WA, USA- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field- 2+ years of Fortune 500 operational accounting experience- CPA- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency- Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusionsOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.
