Robert Half Finance and Accounting is partnering with a burgeoning tech organization in Uptown Dallas to recruit for a Senior Accountant role.

Core duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

Engaging with the controller, finance, and business operations teams to progressively refine operational processes.

Proposing enhancements within the accounting department and associated business units.

Partnering with finance and business operations to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of financial transactions.

Collaborating with functional P L owners to improve the billing and collections procedure.

Ensuring the confidentiality of business information to protect the organization’s value.

Assisting with the execution of special business projects.

Producing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial results to the senior management team.

Preferred candidates should have these skills and experience:

A Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in public accounting, ideally in large firms.

CPA certification or active candidacy status.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong teamwork skills and ability to coordinate among various business units.

Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Proficiency in facilitating productive relationships with diverse stakeholders, such as clients, employees, and partners.

A systematic and process-driven approach to work.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with a preference for proficiency in complex formulas and functions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant, with at least 3 years in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits

• Expertise in both financial and operational audits

• Proficient in the use of accounting software

• Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports

• Ability to work with large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports

• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree or professional certifications such as CPA will be highly regarded
