　　Senior Accountant / Accounting Supervisor

　　Location: Lyon, France

　　In this role, you will be responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the department’s general ledger and detailed financial analysis of the department’s chart of accounts and financial statements by identifying and analyzing unusual variances. You will also be :

　　Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger Your technical expertise will enable you to support the Finance Manager.

　　Record inventory and/or complex entries in the general ledger and sub-ledgers as applicable, preparing full reconciliations and backup documentation.

　　Provide support to the Finance Manager in the preparation and analysis of monthly reporting and performance indicators (KPI).

　　Support the preparation of statutory financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, notes) within the mandatory deadlines.

　　Check the accuracy and age of supplier and customer trial balances and alert the Finance Manager in the event of discrepancies.

　　Prepare cash transfers and validate cash receipts.

　　Control bank reconciliations and perform intra-group reconciliations.

　　Perform tax, social, and administrative returns (income tax, VAT, DB, CFE…) with accuracy and on time.

　　Make suggestions to improve accounting and financial processes.

　　Collaborate with other central financial services on common and/or specific issues

　　Coaches and mentors accountants and accounting clerks (2 accountants) in the team for your day-to-day work.

　　Qualifications

　　About you:

　　You will ideally have accounting experience within an automotive/heavy machinery industry, however, if you enjoy and can demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, resiliency, and strong communication skills along with an analytical mindset and interest in the Accounting domain, we’d love to hear from you. Here are some of the other skills and competencies we’d like you to have:

　　Degree or qualification in Finance and/or Accountancy.

　　Proven previous experience in accounting, ideally within the automotive/heavy machinery/engineering industry, and knowledge of French GAAP and US GAAP.

　　Proven experience in Financial Reporting, Analysis, and Internal Controls.

　　Good knowledge of Excel, reporting tools, and ERPs (IFS and advantage).

　　Ability to work autonomously as well as together with the team; personal curiosity, proactive approach, and positive team spirit are what drive you.

　　Fluency in English (Intermediate and higher), as this is our main business language in addition to fluency in French.
