  JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

  The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the monthly closing process and the Accounts Payable function.

  A Successful Senior Accountant will:

  Financial Reporting and Controls:

  Oversee the monthly closing process and prepare financial reports

  Oversee and implement processes and financial controls

  Prepare and review reconciliations of account balances

  Perform analysis and analytics on balance sheet and profit and loss accounts

  Maintain and report on various financial and operational metrics

  Track variances between budget and actual

  Assist in managing accounts payable and travel and entertainment functions

  Research:

  Perform technical research surrounding new accounting pronouncements and implement them into practice/workpapers

  Provide recommendations for changes to Finance team leadership

  Accounting Processes:

  Oversee and report on Accounts Payable function

  Oversee and report on Travel and Entertainment function

  Oversee and report on Software Development and reporting functions

  Collaborate with various departments within the company

  Assist with Ad Hoc requests as necessary

  Minimum Requirements:

  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  3+ years of Public Accounting Experience

  Advanced Excel skills preferred

  Knowledge of Accounting Principles, and best practices

  Experience performing Financial Analysis and Analytical comparisons required

  Experience preparing Financial Statements and Financial Reports preferred

  High attention to detail and accuracy

  Experience with NetSuite, Concur and Salesforce preferred

  Experience managing staff preferred

  Where you will be:

  This position is based in our New York headquarters. We work a hybrid work schedule with a current minimum of one teamwide designated day in the office.

  Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

  S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $54,400 to $105,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.

  In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
