  At Alliance Cancer Specialists (ACS), we've aligned the largest community-based team of cancer experts in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Our team of 34 board-certified physicians and 9 advanced practitioners at 14 convenient locations are dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of all types of cancers and blood disorders. Our providers are backed by a team of oncology certified nurses, laboratory technologists, and support staff, with one goal in mind, to provide personal care and support so you can focus on healing.Alliance Cancer Specialists (ACS) is currently seeking a Sr. Accountant to advise up-line management regarding the practice management financial programs in our multi-site organization. The Sr. Accountant assists in determining financial goals for the various operating units, analyzes and reports variances and maintains general ledger and related systems for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. He/she develops management reports, coordinates, and monitors financial budgets, and ensures financial reporting is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.Work in-person a total of 4 days per week with 1 day per week spent at Bensalem Office (Mondays) and a minimum of 3 days per week spent at Central Business Office (Trevose-Feasterville). Several of those days may be spent at other sites as needed by leadership.

  Responsibilities

  Sr. Accountant will report directly to and work closely with Regional Finance Director (US Oncology Network).Works in collaboration/partnership with Controller and Sr. Leadership Team of ACS.Under minimal supervision, coordinates the month-end close for assigned oncology practices including financial reporting. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business  Standards.Maintains general ledger, including preparing financial schedules, writing journal entries, etc. Maintains cash schedules, inspects account status, transfers cash as necessary to cover disbursements.Processes monthly close of all practices and management companies in an accurate and timely manner. Ensures accruals are made appropriately each month.Reviews G/L coding on invoices before checks are releases to ensure accurate coding. Works with practice administration to obtain all necessary information and explanations.Ensures compliance with Management Services Agreements for all sites. Ensures accurate accounting for new practices including opening balance sheet, subsequent adjustments to B/S and MSA, etc.Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported by valid detail. Reviews monthly Reporting Package for all practices for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.Ensures support of timely submission of Reporting Packages to ACS leaders and RFD for review. Responds to related inquiries in a timely manner. Meets Corporate reporting deadlines.Provides various practice specific reporting as requested by leadership.Ensures accuracy and completeness of fixed assets records including depreciation.Assists in the annual budgeting process for practice. Maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to assigned responsibilities.Maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, finances and cost-effective health care delivery issues.

  Qualifications

  The ideal candidate is an experienced mentor, highly organized, with the ability to be flexible and multi-task. Additionally, he or she will offer:* Demonstrated leadership capabilities* Effective communicator* Strong attention to detail and fortitude to perform the work necessary to achieve results* Continuous improvement mindset* Accounting, finance, analytical and business acumen* Balance sheet reserve measurement & accounting* Proactive, deter ined, self-starter* Comfortable and capable of working independentlyPosition requires:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (with appropriate experience).* Practice Management/Health Services experience preferred.* 5+ years of progressive Accounting experience* Strong foundation in accounting required, but candidates also demonstrating strong analytical/FP&A experience preferred* CPA and or MBA preferred, though not requiredWork in-person a total of 4 days per week with 1 day per week spent at Bensalem Office (Mondays) and a minimum of 3 days per week spent at Central Business Office (Trevose-Feasterville).
