Job DescriptionSEMCO - Operations Technician IThe Operations Technician I, under direct supervision, supports the Operations Department with a variety of field duties within the assigned geographic area.
You Will* Conduct site visits for proposed new natural gas services.* Prepare new service investigation forms with estimated service length and sketch* Coordinate with homeowners, builders, municipalities, and businesses regarding service route and construction requirements.*Communicate with pipeline contractors and internal stakeholders regarding any installation needs.*Update construction database.* Participate in on-call rotation for Miss Dig staking* Assist in other Operational Areas when required ("Miss-Dig", leak survey, and inspection).* Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.
You Have* High School Diploma/GED required* Knowledge of basic mechanical & electrical principles, preferred* Good analytical and organizational skills.* Good written and oral communication skills.* Good customer service orientation.* Good working knowledge of various personal computer business software applications presently used by the Company. Ability to learn new systems or software packages as necessary.* Must maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with co-workers, customers and management.* Must maintain a safe environment for co-workers, customers and the public through adherence to established safety standards and timely reporting of potential hazards.* Must adhere to Company policies and procedures related to the code of business ethics, compliance, responsible use of Company assets, and all applicable state and federal laws.
In addition to our standard benefits package, the estimated base hourly rate for this role will range from $24.28/hour - $34.13/hour, depending upon experience.
