Position Overview:
Labcorp is seeking a dynamic and experienced Segment Accounting US Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the financial leadership of the organization, overseeing critical aspects of accounting, reporting, and analysis within our global operations. As a trusted leader, you will guide a talented team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight: Review and approve monthly business unit reporting packages, providing valuable insights and context for material variances. Oversee the distribution of reporting packages, facilitating meaningful discussions with stakeholders.Analytical Expertise: Demonstrate a strong command of financial analysis, preparing journal entries and reconciliations for complex, material, or high-risk accounts. Conduct ad hoc analyses to support Corporate Controllership, FP&A, or Segment Controllership.Policy Development and Implementation: Lead the preparation and review of new policies, procedures, and SLAs, ensuring effective implementation within the organization. Provide oversight for policy adherence during acquisitions.Process Management: Collaborate with team members to oversee process functionality and spearhead continuous improvement.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the general accounting function, contributing to the overall efficiency of financial operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible business experience in Accounting.3-5 years of supervisory experience, demonstrating strong leadership skills.Professional certification (CPA) and advanced Accounting degree preferred.Proficiency in Excel and Word, with previous experience in ERP systems (PeopleSoft preferred).Thorough knowledge of US GAAP principles and internal control environments.Experience working with large datasets and a global team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay Range: $80,852 - $131,744
