Security Supervisor - Durham
As the Security Supervisor for the Durham facilities, you will lead and manage all aspects of security for your assigned shift and days of work. This role will manage all aspects of employment and duties for a team of security personnel, which could include Security Shift Leads, Security Officers, Security Receptionists, and Security Operations Center personnel. This role will have rotating working days dependent on your assigned location. This role reports to the Durham Security Manager.
The Day-to-Day:
Perform all necessary actions to establish a safe and secure work environment for site employees and visitorsManage the hiring process and personnel development of security staff (interviewing, hiring, coaching, mentoring, training, performance evaluation)Establish team goals and evaluate key performance indicators for process improvementManage all function-specific activities throughout designated shift and facility, including security staff scheduling, site patrols, physical security systems, business supports, incident management/response and command, report reviews, and assisting with investigationsCollaborate with other business unit supervisors/managers to accomplish the goals of the Security and Emergency Management Department
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Three (3) years of corporate security experience with at least two (2) years of management/leadership experience or positions of significant responsibility in law enforcement or the militaryBA/BS degree preferred, however work experience and/or industry certifications could be substituted for educationComprehensive understanding of corporate security responsibilities associated with a large industrial facilityStrong leadership ability and comfort occupying a high-visibility, high-demand positionValid North Carolina issued driver’s license or the ability to obtain upon hireMust be capable of frequently sitting, standing, and/or walking for long periods of time, which may involve climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and on uneven terrainMust be capable of frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 poundsMust be capable of running short distances in the event of an emergencyThis position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
