Required Qualifications: As per Civil Service Standards and Specifications. Must have taken and passed the specific job related Civil Service exam and be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service list. The Civil Service list for this position might provide insufficient acceptors, therefore, a provisional appointment will be made. 　　Brief Description of Duties: To afford safety and security with duties to include the following:

　　Patrol buildings and facilities to identify, report and address safety and security concerns.Greet visitors and staff while verifying credentials.Respond to facility calls for service, events and emergencies.Respond to calls for assistance with difficult clients and visitors.Assist clients with disabilities, visitors or employees in all possible ways including escorting them through area.As directed, assists police and firefighters at the scene of accidents.Prepare written reports of shift activities including actions taken to report or resolve incidents or problems.Prevent theft of state or personal property by means of presence and witness.May operate a motor vehicle to transport people and cargo to emergency situations. Administer first aid to sick or injured persons.Other duties as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.Special Notes: These are full-time positions, 40 hours per week, shift and pass days varied. 　　Essential Position: This has been designated as an essential position based on the duties of the job and the functions performed.
