Primary Responsibilities:

Builds and maintains applications for deployment, monitoring and operations, troubleshoots and resolves issues within AWS environments, including network, security, storage, and compute-related problems

Drive lead technical decisions, design discussions, review artifacts and implementation of the platform / services

Ensure Well-architected principles and engineering best practices are followed to build a secure, high-performing, resilient and scalable services

Automate routine operational tasks, ensuring efficiency and reliability in day-to-day operations

Implement security best practices to keep data safe and control who can access resources

Manage code deployment and release via GitHub actions / Jenkins and help in troubleshooting issues with existing CI/CD pipeline

Guide the team development efforts towards successful project delivery

Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team

Required Qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

10+ years of experience in Application support and Maintenance

5+ years of professional experience in AWS or other cloud architecture

5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud Infrastructure and services

3+ hands on Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

3+ years of programming in Python

Solid experience in CI/CD pipelines and integration with in GitHub Actions / Jenkins

Experience in designing / integrating REST APIs with third-party services

Solid knowledge of cloud security practices and AWS IAM roles/policies

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Kubernates and Docker container images.

Experience working in an Agile development environment

Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, HIPAA etc.)
