　　Duties/Responsibilities:

　　Patrols by foot and monitors all assigned areas;

　　Report suspicious activities and document all suspicious activity;

　　Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency;

　　Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property;

　　Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises;

　　Performs other related duties as assigned.

　　Interacting with the public, providing customer service;

　　Using verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts;

　　Assisting client personell - assisting restraining individuals who pose a safety risk when requested by staff;

　　Required Skills/Abilities:

　　Excellent observational skills and attention to detail;

　　Possess written and verbal communication skills;

　　Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations;

　　Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings;

　　Ability to communicate using a phone or hand held radios;

　　Education and Experience:

　　High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

　　Previous experience a plus, but not required.

　　Physical Requirements:

　　Ability to patrol the property by foot for extended periods (8-12 hours);

　　Prolonged periods standing (possibily 4, 8, 12 hours) and observing the property surroundings;

　　Have the ability to twist and bend at the waist frequently;

　　Ideal security officers meeting basic requirements for the position must:

　　Be at least 18 years of age;

　　Be able to work flexible schedules;

　　Have a high school diploma, GED, or 10 years of verifiable work experience;

　　Criminal history, employment verification and references, registered sex-offender search, and drivers license validation to be completed before hiring;

　　Be drug free and able to pass a drug screen (unless undergoing documented medical treatment);

　　Have access to reliable transportation to and from the work location;

　　Be able to communicate effectively both written and orally for the purpose of report writing and interacting with the public and emergency personnel;

　　Be authorized to work in the U.S.;

　　Be able to meet state licensing requirements for Security Officers, if required;
