  Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the ​Security Architecture and Engineer​ position for the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems (IDCS) Contract. The role Security Architecture and Engineer position is to provide long range planning for Air Force Defensive Cyber Systems to address capacity management, adapt to new intelligence-based threats, shortfalls in current systems, and feedback from operational users. This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite.

  Primary Responsibilities

  Provide long range planning for Air Force Defensive Cyber systems to include system hardware-software-network design, integration, software and hardware testing fielding.

  Evaluates alternatives while considering cost, risk, and supportability for complete systems.

  Able to take multiple requirements from junior technicians and organize them in a coherent manner to create the “bigger picture”

  Coordinate across multiple hardware and software production and functional work centers in the delivery of the span of defensive cyber services across the supported enclaves and geographic locations.

  Act as a liaison between work centers and external sites.

  Identify opportunities to continuously improve service delivery and expand capabilities that enable additional missions for supported users

  Ability to perform tasks within specific timelines with little or no oversight.

  Possess excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation and interpersonal skills to present a high-level capability to senior leaders. In separate documents, able to provide specific technical details to subordinate technicians.

  Ability to develop working relationships with Technology vendors and partners.

  Strong understanding of relevant IT technologies, both user-facing and back-end infrastructure technologies.

  Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements.

  Able to work a SAFe framework to organize hardware and software delivery over time.

  Basic Qualifications

  Requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar technical degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience, certifications, specific Air Force IT systems experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

  Familiarity with DoD and Air Force standards, policies and enterprise solutions.

  Experience with complex, multi-site DoD enterprise IT environments of the size, scale and scope of the IDSC.

  Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Active TS/SCI preferredPay Range:

  Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
