　　The associate is responsible for obtaining and reviewing construction documents.  Provides high quality material take-off estimates for commercial construction projects.  Responsible to task out sub estimate creation to other entities (including: Components, EWP, Purchasing, Installed Sales) for the portion of the project under their responsibility.  The estimator must then incorporate these sub estimates into the master estimate which would include the estimator's own materials take-off items.  The estimator must review finalized estimates for compliance with project documents and specifications.  Maintain an up-to-date computer aided estimating system.  Communicate with Construction Operations Manager, Commercial Sales force, and construction professionals.Responsibilities

　　Create material estimates from construction documents.Communicate and coordinate efforts of other estimating departments.Review construction drawings and specifications.Communicate with store salesperson and construction professionals.Qualifications

　　Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Ability to read and comprehend commercial construction documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.Familiarity with computer software for blueprint takeoffs (Planswift)
