  Manufacturing/Research Lab Technician - Aurora, Colorado

  Type: Contract to Hire

  Pay Range $22-$25/hr

  Shift: Part Time, 8-5p, flexible schedule (3 days/wk)

  *Summary *

  The position as a part-time, entry level technician will assist the Chief Science Officer in performing daily task in a manufacturing and research environment.

  *Essential Tasks *

  Performs routine laboratory tests (spectroscopic analysis, protein determination, quality control tests) under the direction of a Lab Manager.

  Follows instructions and methods and analyzes data according to established standard operating procedures.

  Obtains and maintains minimum proficiency in tracking inventory of reagents and consumables, preparation of glassware. Ordering materials if necessary.

  Maintains laboratory records, supplies, and samples in an organized manner (such as a laboratory notebook and product storage record).

  Adheres to safe working practices and always follows all institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures.

  Wears appropriate PPE as outlined by company policies and procedures.

  Demonstrates compliance with all state, federal and all other regulatory agency requirements.

  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

  Minimum Qualifications

  Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields required.

  Work Experience: None

  Special Training, Certification and Licensure: A demonstrated basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, laboratory equipment, and data collection /classification required.
