　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Works with an intermediate degree of supervision and/or detailed procedures.

　　Performs routine, complex and occasionally highly complex assays in the Microbiology and Chemistry Lab (all activities must be performed in a safe, accurate and efficient manner.)

　　Performs other duties assigned, including responsibilities in other areas of Research and Development.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Required

　　Basic lab skills including aseptic technique, quantitative and qualitative analysis.

　　Strong math skills.

　　Must be capable of standing for extended periods of time, handle strong odors and may, on occasion, have to lift up to 50 lbs.

　　Must live within a commutable distance from Austin, Minnesota (relocation/housing assistance not provided.)

　　Preferred

　　Working toward a bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with lab experience.

　　Sophomore status (post-secondary education) in a lab based, scientific discipline and laboratory experience.
