　　The ideal SDET is an experienced professional who participates in leading, creating and extending quality practices throughout Omnicell products. You will identify the right sets of tools to build to achieve the best quality and customer experience. You use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products.

　　As a QA champion on the engineering team, you will lead building the test infrastructures & build frameworks that allow developers to easily write reliable tests and invent new mechanisms for ensuring that every change we make, can be deployed safely and quickly.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Participate in all QA aspects of the product development lifecycle from gathering requirements to functional, system and regression testing.

　　Responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses for web and mobile apps & frameworks

　　Providing test infrastructure to enable engineering teams to test and own quality of the services.

　　Become a stakeholder of the release to ensure defects are fixed per SLA and end customer experience are protected and improved

　　You will be responsible for driving improvements in test tools, test environments and reporting mechanisms as well as influence the implementation of the right solutions.

　　Effectively isolate and analyze defects providing detailed steps and conditions or defect reproduction.

　　Assess, evaluate, and lead the usage of new tools and testing methodologies

　　Provide peer feedback in design and code reviews

　　Required Knowledge and Skills:

　　Experience in at least, one modern programming language such as Python, Shell, C, C++, Java or Perl

　　Experience creating automation tests and leveraging test frameworks for one or more of:

　　RESTful services

　　Web Applications

　　Mobile Apps (iOS & Android)

　　Understanding of TDD, BDD, and data-driven test practices

　　Familiarity with various software technologies, methodologies and applied software engineering practices/standards such as Object-Oriented Design (OOD), cloud software development and embedded software

　　Experience testing and validating SaaS based solutions at scale.

　　Passionate about mentoring junior engineers.

　　A can-do attitude and ability to make a positive impact on our culture

　　Ability to always put the customer first.

　　Basic Requirements:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or other Science/Engineering field

　　6+ years’ experience in software engineering

　　4+ Years’ experience with software automation testing: white & black box, functional, and system testing.

　　Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

　　3+ Years’ experience with automation testing of microservices and Restful API's

　　2+ Years' experience with Web Apps’ UI test tools

　　2+ Years' experience in native mobile apps (iOS &/or Android) testing tools

　　2+ Years' experience interfacing with CI/CD tools

　　1+ Years’ experience in designing end to end test automation for Cloud applications

　　1+ Years' experience creating performance and scalability tests using JMeter, BlazeMeter
