Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Scheduling Specialist to deliver the best possible service promoting the aide in LRH’s Central Scheduling Team and LRH.
SUMMARY:
The Imaging Services Scheduling Specialist is responsible for the care coordination of the Imaging Services Center. Includes effectively coordinating the scheduling, pre-registration, registration, and coordination of Imaging Services patients and specialty consulting physicians' office clinics. Provides a clean, safe, work environment within Imaging Services utilizing time and resources wisely with adherence to department and hospital policies and procedures. The specialist will provide a warm welcoming first impression on the Imaging Services Department while handling multiple patient inquiries and problems. Follows defined standards of work to optimize hospital financial outcomes and patient satisfaction. Coordinates the comprehensive care of outpatients frequently via telephone to include, but not limited to receiving physician's orders, coordinating multiple services, rescheduling patient appointments, and connecting patients to appropriate resources.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Two years health related experience with an emphasis on registration or insurance processing preferred. Qualified candidate will exhibit strong communication skills, with ability to think critically and problem solve in short timeframes.
