JOB REQUIREMENTS: RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for DiagnosticImaging, is looking for a Scheduling Specialist to join our team. As aScheduling Specialist, you will be responsible for providing services topatients and referring professionals by answering phones, managing faxesand scheduling appointments. This position is part-time working everySaturday and Sunday from 9:00am-5:30pm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: (85%) Scheduling Answers phones and handles calls in aprofessional and timely manner Maintains positive interactions at alltimes with patients, referring offices and staff Schedules patientexaminations according to existing company policy Ensures allappropriate personal, financial and insurance information is obtainedand recorded accurately Ensures all patient data is entered intoinformation systems completely and accurately Ensures patients areadvised of financial responsibilities, appropriate clothing, preparationkits, transportation and/or eating prior to appointment Communicates totechnologists any scheduling changes in order to ensure highest patientsatisfaction Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database on allcurrent and potential referring physicians Handles overflow calls forother centers within market to ensure uninterrupted exam scheduling forreferring offices Provides back up coverage for front office staff asrequested by supervisor (i.e., rest breaks, vacations and sick leave)Fields 1-800 number calls and routes to appropriate department orassociate (St. Louis Park only) (10%) Insurance Pre-certifies all examswith patient\'s insurance company as required Verifies insurance forsame day add-ons Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare)and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if neededprior to appointment (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned Required:High school diploma or equivalent Microsoft Office Suite experienceProficient with using computer systems and typing Able to handlemulti-level phone system with a high volume of calls at one timePreferred: 1-2 year customer service experience Medical terminology andprevious clinical business office experience Bilingual RAYUS iscommitted to delivering clinical excellence in communities across theU.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to...
