　　Job Overview:

　　The Controller is responsible for the management and execution of all finance activities associated with running the business unit, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and negotiation with external counterparties. The Controller will also manage, review, and oversee the staff in the department.

　　Duties/Responsibilities:

　　Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team

　　Analyze the business’s performance including revenue generation and end market data, cost structure, balance sheet efficiency, and other matters in order to provide strategic recommendations to other members of the management team

　　Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and evaluate business expansion opportunities

　　Responsible for preparation of all financial reporting for the business unit and as needed to meet parent company’s audit and bank regulatory requirements

　　Prepare budgets and measure performance against them

　　Prepare financial forecasts

　　Collaborate with other members of management as well as parent company finance team and executives

　　Manage and implement systems used for financial reporting and other functions

　　Required Skills/Abilities:

　　Excellent knowledge of general financial accounting

　　Ability to simplify and present financial information in written or oral form so that it is easily understood by management and staff

　　Excellent management and supervisory skills

　　Highly principled

　　Self-directed; expected to take initiative and identify problems / opportunities independently

　　Ownership mindset

　　Open to learning operational aspects of business

　　Education and Experience:

　　Five to ten years of public accounting experience

　　Successful track record of jumping into new situations (areas of accounting, types of businesses, etc.) and becoming proficient

　　BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance

　　Certified Public Accountant designation a plus

　　Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

　　Knowledge of and experience with accounting procedures and policies

　　Bank financial and regulatory reporting experience a plus

　　Lease accounting experience a plus
