DescriptionSchedulerSummary:Cleveland Construction is seeking a Scheduler to join our team to lead in planning and scheduling. Primary functions are to oversee planning and scheduling while assisting project teams in maintaining schedules, reporting status at the corporate level, determining planner staffing needs, assigning projects etc. This person will be responsible for building an in-house Scheduling department.As our Scheduler, you'll lead the planning and scheduling of all phases of our general contracting projects and provide scheduling knowledge and expertise to help project teams develop, manage, and analyze multiple project schedules.You'll gather data daily to create new proposal baseline schedules and work with our project teams to analyze and update multiple construction schedules. You will have intimate knowledge of all current construction projects to maintain contract schedule updates and ensure our projects are accurately the sequenced. You will also help implement Primavera 6 (P6) into the company scheduling process, eventually transitioning us over from MS Project.To thrive in this role, you must have experience in vertical construction scheduling best practices and software and the ability to communicate with multiple project teams throughout the project lifecycle.Skills/Knowledge:* Experience in vertical construction processes* Develop proposal schedule from RFP documents* Proven experience in construction claims preparation from the scheduling standpoint* Must be able to clearly communicate by verbal, written, or electronic means to all members of the project team* Plan, direct, manage, oversee, and document all schedulingPersonal / Professional Relationships:* Represent the company and yourself with a positive professional attitude at all times* Must be able to work in harmony with all parties involved in the project* Actively promote the company's growth and develop program to aide in the mutual benefit of the company's success and the employee's long term career with the company* Demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate with the project team, project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve positive results* Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendorsPhysical Demands / Working Conditions* Reliable transportation to and from the project* Willingness to travel occasionally based on regional locations* Able to carry and set up a laptop at project sites* Physically able to walk on project sites that are in some phase of constructionComputer / Technology:* Proficient in the use of personal computers including iPad/tablet device* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related construction software* Basic knowledge of uploading and managing web based document storage* P6 experience preferredEducation / Experience:* Preferred four (4) year degree in a construction-related curriculum or equivalent field experience* Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage and direct on-site project teams to successful completionsMilitary Friendly EmployerWe value the knowledge, skills and abilities you acquired in the military.
