Role Summary
The candidate will lead a small team of scenario analysts in support of the Mission Command Battle Lab (MCBL) Concept Development and Prototype Experimentation Program developing experimentation, studies, and prototyping to support C2 capability development and Echelons Above Brigade modernization efforts.
Responsibilities and Duties
Serve as the Scenario Lead providing scenario support to Concept Development and Prototype Experimentation for MCBL.
Responsible for interfacing with and briefing Government personnel.
Develop, implement, oversee, and improve as necessary those processes and procedures required to address and satisfy the Government's contractually defined objectives while ensuring high quality products and services.
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, updating project plans, approving expenditures, and making decisions about department related purchases.
Coordinate and/or attend cross-functional meetings of personnel related to project.
Report status, develop project-related documentation and implement lessons learned.
Participate in project performance review meetings and discussions (when required).
Responsible for developing and accessing documentation in the form of reports, proposals, white papers, and briefings.
Responsible for generating and reviewing slides in support of CONOPs and conditions, support material and additional background information.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant science or technology.
Five or more years’ scenario development experience supporting experimentation and Joint exercises.
Experience in planning at the Brigade or higher level and Joint Staff planning experience,
Knowledge of Operational Wargaming Systems
Knowledge of Army and Joint Doctrine and a demonstrated understanding of conducting and analyzing research and collecting data.
Other Qualifications
Possess clear and precise oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Submit to required background checks.
Able to meet requirements to work on a military installation, including having a valid state driver's license and car insurance.
Be self-motivated with ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks within specified timeframes.
Be completely functional in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Be able to travel as required.
Ability to hold a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited university.
Graduate of a military service school equivalent to the Army Command and General Staff College (Military Education Level-4)
Field-grade level knowledge and experience (desire is Army service of greater than 10 years with experiences in Army, joint, and coalition operations at the division or higher echelon).
Ability to design and conduct relatively simple, scalable, and quick low-overhead agile wargames that help inform C2 analytical research, foresight, and advisory concept development activities.
