Job Description Martin Marietta is currently looking for an energetic scale clerk to join the team at our St. Cloud Quarry. This candidate will be primarily responsible for weighing and ticketing customer trucks, creating a variety of reports and helping with other administrative tasks. This position will work 10AM-6PM starting out and will help cover the 6AM-6PM shift as needed. Winter hours are reduced and there is a chance of seasonal lay off. Essential Functions * Issue weight and product tickets at the scale house * Work cooperatively with sales department and dispatch * Understand customers' needs and requirements * Answer incoming telephone calls * Cash sales - document, verify & accurately fill out checks for customers * Research problem tickets and properly document findings * Convey any known customer needs and/or complaints with the appropriate people * Assist plant manager as required Competencies * Safety Acumen * Teamwork * Integrity * Adaptability * Motivation * Communication Work Environment This job operates 90% of the time in an office environment and 10% of the time outdoors. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
