　　Your main challenges:

　　Join our team in the development of our high performant, scalable and resilient application engine capable of delivering apps and services running for thousands of parallel users. Develop, evolve and maintain the Mendix Runtime, by adding to it’s core features, improve integrations with our clients or external systems.

　　You’re the software engineer we’re looking for if:

　　You’re fluent in Scala/Java or eager to learn Scala and willing to explore its functional style.

　　A passion for technology and strong problem-solving and analytical skills

　　You are hands-on and quality minded. Each of us assures what we build is right.

　　You easily share knowledge and help out others.

　　Even better (but not essential!) if you have:

　　Experience in handling architectural and design considerations such as performance, scalability and security issues

　　Experience with automated testing

　　Experience with data structures and algorithms

　　This is a hybrid working position, which means you will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with the flexibility to work from home as well as from our office located in Rotterdam. We expect the successful candidate to be present in the office at least one day a week, as we believe that in-person collaboration is crucial for building a cohesive team and delivering high-quality work.
