Hiring a REMOTE SCADA Engineer for a Growing Company
Location: Remote
Pay: $100,000-$135,000
Summary:
The SCADA Engineer will be responsible for various tasks to include engineering analysis, design review, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn and implement NAES/E3 SCADA architecture and contribute to the development and implementation of new projects
Assist in engineering analysis, design review, and commissioning of renewable energy projects, including Wind, Solar PV, and Solar PV + Energy Storage systems
Prepare performance monitoring tools and programming applications
Travel to remote sites for project commissioning and SCADA communications signal check-out
Record specification designs, drawings, bills of materials, and test data
Create test procedures to verify hardware and software designs
Ensure engineering designs comply with UL, IEEE, and ISA requirements
Other duties as assigned
Why You’re Perfect For The Team (about You):
Bachelor’s or technical associate degree in Automation and Controls Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, Computer Programming Engineering, or equivalent experience
Five (5)+ years of relevant professional experience required
Three (3)+ years of Industrial Automation working experience in the Power Sector preferred
Experience in programming Schneider Wonderware System Platform, exposure to Ignition SCADA from Inductive Automation
Proficiency in Schneider – AVEVA Wonderware System Platform Version 2017 and 2020
Programming experience with Schweitzer (SEL) protection relays SEL-351, SEL-487, including RTAC-3530
PLC hardware and maintenance expertise for Allen-Bradley Control Logix, ABB PLC, Raspberry PI
Programming PLC ladder logic, functional blocks, IEC-61131, with Node-RED as a plus
Object-oriented programming experience, with a preference for Python skills
Familiarity with ensuring compliance in renewable project cyber security framework in order to conform with the NAES Cyber Security framework
Experience using OPC UA and developing process graphics in InTouch HMI, Factory Talk, and Power-BI dashboards.
PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley, ABB, Schneider Electric).
Excellent written communication skills using Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently without supervision
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Compliance with all policies and procedures
Ability to travel independently within North America (up to 30% of the time), including overnight trips
Ability to build and retain critical vendor relationships
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments with accuracy
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
