Job Description
With Project Management and Production Supervisors, the Material Coordinator will coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and task schedules or Production Supervisors' priorities. Will confer with Production Department Supervisors to determine material to be issued to the production floor based on work order scheduling. Review technical drawings to determine material required to assemble cables, assemblies, and kitting efforts. Track material shortages and coordinates with Project Management for anticipated availability of material. Receive material delivered to the Production Department to verify specified material quantities are correct prior to being issued to the production floor. Perform other administrative tasks as required.
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $26.71/hr.
This position is located in Chesapeake, Virginia. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, Virginia or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Ability to read drawings and schematics
High school diploma and at least one year of related experience

Experience with CostPoint and COGNOS
Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
