Materials Management Platform is a Multi-year transformation initiative aimed at transforming Ford's Materials Mana Requirement Planning & Inventory Management capabilities. This is part of a larger Industrial Systems IT Transformation effort. This Delivery Manager will be responsible for the deployment of SAP modules specifically PP, MM & PP-DS and adjacent modules (Integration) across our global manufacturing locations.
Responsibilities
Understand the current business process across all regions / plants
Understand the functionality of current Legacy MPR and associated upstream and downstream systems
Work with various stakeholders to study transforming current process / legacy systems to Industry best standards / technology/ systems focusing on SAP PP / MM module
Deliver conference room pilots to understand the as-is to-be and identify key functionality / process gaps
Recommend possible technology / process solution to address the gap
Develop implementation roadmap without impacting the current operations
Lead the global template creation along with system integrator and SAP with minimal customization
Set up governance layer to confine / control plant specific process changes and necessary customization
Understand SAP Licensing model and provide recommendation for optimal licensing leading to minimal cost
Partner with Infrastructure and Architecture team for infrastructure sizing and continuously optimize
Work with business office and / or purchasing to ensure issues of PO and / or SOW on time
Optimize resource planning with the right mix of Ford, Agency, SAP and System Integrator
Device a robust plan to skill up Ford / Agency resources for implementation without system integrator after initial few plants
Secure funding for implementing SAP MRP across all plants
Deploy SAP S4 MRP (PP & MM) across various sites globally and integrate with both legacy & other best in breed applications
Meet the committed launch timing across various plants
Coach / train the team on SAP PP / MM business process and configurations
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Device plan and execute support model post launch
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, engineering or related disciplines, MCA
10+ years of progressive responsibilities in SAP PP / MM
Industry process knowledge, solution expertise, consultation skills in SAP PP & MM module
Experience in deployment of SAP PP & MM module in both new and exciting sites
Experience in SAP PP & MM module configuration
Experience working in SAP S4 Hana environment
Experience in integrating with SIEMENS PLM / other PLM, KENAXIS tools etc.
End to end implementation and Support of SAP PP & MM across both new sites and existing sites
Should have handled a team of 8+ resources
Handled / worked with global teams
Automotive experience is preferred
Support in an onshore/offshore model is preferred
Overall SAP S/4 knowledge
Respect and empathy for team members, business partner and product customer
Excellent at problem solving and prevention.
Knowledge of software design patterns
Knowledge and practical experience of agile delivery
Demonstrated ability to deliver product roadmap milestones
