Overview of the Role:
Woodstream IT is in the midst of a digital transformation to drive agility and resiliency within operational processes from order management to fulfillment to remittance, enabling growth and scalability. As part of this transformation, the SAP IT Business Analyst (BA) will serve as a technology partner to the Operations team in implementing SAP S/4Hana.
The BA will be responsible for analyzing the current state of our operational processes, identifying areas of process improvement leveraging technology, and developing future state processes, leveraging SAP S/4Hana. The BA will also support the implementation of technology solutions and enhancements to meet business goals. To ensure success as a business analyst, the BA should be able to perform benefit realization of operational projects in partnership with these functional teams.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Assist in the delivery of a Greenfield implementation of SAP S/4Hana, focusing on Procure to Pay and Plan to Manufacture, as well as Enterprise Warehouse Management, Integrated Business Planning, and Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling.
Provide SAP expertise to support operational (Procure to Pay, Plan to Manufacture, Warehouse Management) processes, opportunities, and challenges.
Leverage SAP expertise to educate business users on SAP capabilities and functionality, as well as advise on potential opportunities to improve processes or gain visibility.
Build and maintain in-depth expertise in current operational processes and systems.
Develop, build, and nurture relationships with operational teams to be a trusted advisor and partner in leveraging SAP to enable business processes.
Gather and facilitate business process discussions, solution design and documentation, configuration, test, and end-user support.
Understand and capture business needs, ask questions to clarify requirements, challenge where needed, and translate that understanding into potential solutions/improvements.
Partner with operations teams to identify, define, and prioritize opportunities with SAP requirements.
Manage approved requests and projects identified through the right workflows and/or governance bodies.
Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP operational processes, inclusive of business requirements, process design, and functional design.
Develop and execute testing plans, protocols, and verification for operational processes.
Partner with operations team to Identify, execute, and sustain SAP request or project benefits.
Serves as a point of escalation for the operations team and IT to address technology and/or IT related issues.
Perform root cause analysis and participate in architecting solutions to solve business challenges.
Successful Candidate Profile:
BS or BA in business, management, information systems
Highly motivated hands-on problem solver
Strong customer service orientation
Strong technology skills and business acumen
Excellent writing skills, polished verbal communication skills
Experience implementing SAP S/4Hana
Experience with SAP Inventory Management, Materials Management, Enterprise Warehouse Management, Integrated Business Planning, Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling
Experience with ShipERP, Bartender
Experience working with order fulfillment processes
Experience working with all levels of employees
Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Working knowledge of structured query language
Knowledge of change control process and procedures
Foundational understanding of IT workflow cycle
