　　We have an immediate opening for an SAP Basis Administrator within our DT (Digital Technology) Organization. The Basis Administrator role is part of a robust team that is responsible for the SAP installation and administration of over 100 non-prod and production servers, running on AWS private cloud. The role will perform new builds and ongoing system maintenance activities associated with this very large, highly complex SAP system landscape supporting critical Air Products business processes. This role will collaborate extensively with Functional Analyst, Infrastructure, Database and SAP team members. This position is located at our offices in Pune, India.

　　Job Description

　　Principal Accountabilities

　　Perform SAP system administration providing insight needed to optimize and maintain the overall SAP reliability, availability, and performance

　　Resolve issues by analyzing system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces and system traces etc.

　　Evaluate SAP Early Watch/Service Level reports and develop an action plan to address the gaps on an ongoing basis.

　　Install, configure, and maintain all SAP system Basis components and add-ons

　　Perform SAP upgrades and Support Package Stacks

　　Meet defined SLAs by providing hands on support and technical leadership for incidents

　　Continuously drive sustainable operational excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability (reduce incidents, defects, and waste) and lowering total delivery costs

　　Document processes for future reference.

　　Participate in on-call rotation, monthly releases and work after business-hours as needed

　　Education and Experience Requirements

　　Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or in a related technical field (e.g., Engineering or Science) or equivalent education, technical training and experience

　　8+ years of experience working with Information Technology

　　6+ years of SAP Basis experience

　　Broad knowledge of IT system administration and IT Infrastructure

　　Ability to lead sophisticated technical issues across a variety of platforms

　　Strong communication, problem solving, analytical, and teamwork skills

　　Ability to work across the IT organization and the business functions

　　Ability to assess and prioritize competing issues and opportunities.

　　Self-Starter with strong initiative, a sense of urgency and passion.
