WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our Plant Operations team makes ideas a reality. They work hard to ensure our refreshing, flavorful beverages are bottled safely and on time. In this role you'll perform a variety of routine tasks including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining sanitary conditions of the processing areas of the plant. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative teammate to help maintain Talking Rain's high-quality standards and contribute to departmental improvements.
Reports to: Production Supervisor and Production Manager
Direct Reports: NoneBase Hourly Rate: $21.00 (and a shift differential for hours worked outside of 1st shift)
Discretionary Bonus Potential: Up to $450 bi-annually. Eligibility is based on Plant and Company profitability.
Location: Onsite at our Preston, WA office 5 days a week
Core Hours: Monday - Friday - 9:00pm - 5:30am
Maintain a safe environment for the plant and surrounding areas.
Clean and sanitize listed equipment as prescribed on the master sanitation schedule and QA PMs; follow SOP's.
Operate cleaning and sanitizing equipment as directed by the supervisor or sanitation chemical supplier.
Maintain all equipment with care and immediately notify the manager of any issues or concerns.
Ensure all work is done safely with proper use of PPE.
Maintain thorough records and forms to accurately account for activities completed.
Maintain proper chemical and supply inventories and notify the supervisor of the quantity and timeframe to restock.
Notify appropriate department(s) when encountering situations that may impact production efficiencies.
Seek to improve process, develop best practices, and ensure quality.
Work on projects and special assignments as assigned or initiated.
Operate Talking Rain's recycling machine, (crusher), and organize completed bails using a forklift.
This position may occasionally ask for help in the area of production and rainbow during the slow season which requires heavy lifting.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Cross-train lab technician work including line quality checks, product testing, and other essential duties.
Promote and enforce GMP's.
Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, advising your immediate manager of any food safety and/or quality issues.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
High School Diploma required.
Experience in an automated production environment preferred.
Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working weekends as needed for special assignments.
Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
Chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, or food science experience a plus.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to wear appropriate PPE and handle chemicals.
Ability to lift to 70 lbs.
