DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:As Sales Support Manager acts as an internal account representative for a strategic subset of Retailer & Distributor partners. This role is a cross functional liaison for the customer and coordinates activity with the key account manager/outside sales. The role provides strategic support and customer focus to increase sales and/or share of wallet within the account. This role partners cross-functionally with marketing, learning and development, IT, customer service, credit/finance etc. to ensure the customer has internal support for growth and development to achieve sales growth goals.
You will report to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities* Develop and advise on continuous channel efficiencies and improvements through the use of system applications, data management, performance reporting data and process changes.* Create & manage promotional offerings for Retail/Distributor channel, including but not limited to, collateral creation/management, program communication, execution, and results reporting.* Collaborate with cross functional teams to build out strategies to support and accelerate sales.* Direct Product Line Review (PLR) process with Distributor/Retailer locations to analyze and improve category performance and enhance product portfolio.* Support Sales Team in new product launches by supplying relevant item specification information.* Manage and coordinate detailed logistics and complex timelines of numerous one-time and ongoing trade shows throughout the channel.* Act as internal account representative and provide increased customer support through service level analysis, promotional activity for end use customers and sale growth initiatives.* Other projects/problem resolution as needed.
Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent experience in sales required.* 3-5 years of experience in Customer Relations/Sales/Marketing experience would be helpful.* Strong Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.* Ability to effectively analyze data and reach sound conclusions.* Communicate and interact/negotiate with internal customers.* Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) software would be advantageous.* Training experience.* Attention to detail and ability to manage an initiative from conception to solution.
