As a Sales Representative, you will develop and execute the sales strategyfor selling Veritiv products and services within a designated geography orindustry. Duties include new business development, maintaining customerrelationships, providing customer specific solutions and meeting establishedsales targets. This position requires a competitive and motivated spirit withthe drive to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Sell and promote products and value-added services to meet or exceedindividual and company goals in an established territory.Develop and implement a customer contact plan to communicate product launchesand engage the potential customers in relevant sales campaigns to build newrelationships.
Identify opportunities and present solutions offered by the organization thatmeet the customer's needsDevelop and provide custom presentations and business reviews on Veritivsolutions that could impact customer growth opportunities.Utilize CRM to schedule follow-up actions and record relevant information tobuild upon customer interactions.
Create a personal network and represent the organization at business sectorevents to enhance the company brand.
Act as first point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints andproactively strive for resolutions in a timely manner.Align with various sales representatives to expand segment and productknowledge base and collaborate on promoting solutions to customers.Actively leverage sales technology and tools to meet strategic accountplanning objectives and maximize customer and segment growth potential.Participate in training and development programs to enhance sales competenciesand further expand ability to effectively generate profitable customer andsegment growth.
Qualifications:
Experience and knowledge in Packaging is strongly preferred5% travel required may be requested to perform other duties as assigned
Work Experience:
5+ years of successful sales experience; territory sales or accountmanagement preferred.Strong understanding or experience from a large, national or decentralizeddistribution organization preferred.Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and adapt to suddenchanges in the work environment.Excellent verbal, written, people and diplomacy skills required.Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred.
Demonstrate understanding of managing a customized sales cycle to providesolutions to clients.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require PC work thatinvolves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sittingfor frequent periods of time. The incumbent is required to talk, see andhear. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.Normal office working conditions will occur along with travel to customers,suppliers, group meetings, etc.
Salary Band - 65K - 75K base plus commissions.
