Description

Robert Half has an opening for an Accounting Clerk to work in the Service industry, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the Norfolk, Virginia area. What you get to do every single day

Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources

Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt

Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

Upload financial information to journals and ledgers

Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching filing

Requirements

Excellent data entry skills

Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system

2+ years of relevant experience

Deep understanding of Create Purchase

Billing experience required

Microsoft Excel experience

Ability to multitask effectively
