About Sales Manager (Leisure, European Markets) at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa

  We’re always looking for new ways to raise the bar. So we’re searching for a Sales Manager - Leisure with a track record of driving sales and smashing targets to help us fill our rooms, meeting suites and banquet halls.

  A little taste of your day-to-day:

  Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads.

  Develop and manage customer accounts and travel within the assigned geographical area (predominantly UK and European countries) to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams.

  Create and manage hotel sales and marketing plans to ensure they accurately interpret and support the objectives of the business and use these plans to focus the sales efforts for all market segments

  Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and draw up action plans to work towards the budget

  Build and execute strategies for wholesale/leisure market, including DMCs, TMCs, tour operators, travel agencies and similar within the assigned geographical regions.

  Conduct site inspections, webinars, presentations, hosted entertainment to clients.

  Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients.

  Develop and implement creative local marketing channels, including social media channels

  Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions

  Work within current business strategies and recognising potential opportunities

  Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs

  Attend Sales events and international sales missions, as required

  Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads

  Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner

  Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures

  Recruit, manage, train and develop the Sales team

  What We need from you:

  ● Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field 

  ● Two or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team

  ● Resort experience is an advantage

  ● Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required 

  ● Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

  ● Another common European language is an added advantage, preferrably German

  ● European/Schengen passport or Schengen multi-entry valid visa is an added advantage

  ●Flexible working hours, including willingness for out of office hour entertainment, travel, occasional weekend attendance as per business needs

  ●Hybrid working flexibility between Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah offices

  ●Must have valid UAE driving licence and car
